This program features a real-world scientific concept to be explored by our students through research, teamwork, construction and imagination! Our students will be able to: Design and build a challenge- related model using Lego components, create a Show Me poster and practice presentation skills, explore challenges facing today’s scientists, discover real-world math and science, begin developing teamwork skills, choose to participate in expos and showcases, and engage in team activities guided by First Lego League Core Values. Our students are SO excited about this hands-on program that has already captured their curiosity and directed them towards discovering how science and technology impact the world around them. The students will work with Lego elements and motorized parts to build ideas and concepts and present them for review. Each year the First Lego League works with experts in the field to create a Challenge that relates to an important real world issue.
